What an incredible way to do business!

In an emergency, Ken sent out a technician to assess the status of my current air conditioner. Upon a very thorough examination, the technician explained to me that a new unit, both inside and out, would be necessary based on the damage sustained to my unit, the previous set-up, and the fact that I live in a condo. Dave, the technician, was extremely helpful in explaining everything to me and discussing my various options in terms of replacement.

Ken was extremely helpful in following up with me throughout the process. He even called a few days after the service was finished to check and see how everything was working. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the options that I could take in terms of replacement of units. I felt as if he and Dave were looking for what would be best for me in the long run, not the most expensive. Dave showed up on time, and worked long hours (in no air conditioning) to finish the job as quickly as possible. He and another tech. built an elevated base for my outdoor unit in addition to installing a new attic unit. I felt very comfortable with them in my house and observed them working diligently the entire time. I felt as if they spoke to me as if I was knowledgeable but also broke things down in a way that I could understand. I would recommend them to anyone that I know who needs either air conditioning repairs or a full replacement. Their professionalism and level of care for the project were exactly what I was hoping for.

My evaporator coil was leaking. Changed out old evaporator coil with new one.

Dave arrived on time and ready to work. He was very professional and thorough. He could have saved himself a ton of time, but decided to go the extra mile and provide outstanding customer service. Pricing was a fraction of what the bigger companies charge. He changed out my leaking evaporator coil for a warrantied replacement.
I was unfamiliar with how everything worked so Dave provided some excellent information and tips on HVAC.

Its HOT HOT HOT in Florida!... its a no brainer when it gets hot the calls for relief flood all AC vendors everyone is waitlisted... its very important to me to keep my tenants comfortable and when the ac went out... of course all ac vendors were booked up!...

my warranty co did get me someone but that co wasn't available til the next day... it was crucial to get relief for my tenants they have a sick child who had to have ac relief... not to mention 2 other young children... called warranty co and re-expressed the urgency... they put the call as "priority" and sent me Ken Barrett AC... although my property was much further away from his other work orders for the day... its crucial to be pro-active folks...I called him personally... all he could offer was service possibly by 9pm no promise but would try... He called me later and told me he changed some work around and would expedite for me that same day... Hallelujah!!... My tenants reported it took just 15 minutes to get the ac to work properly... It's freAking cold and my heater would not come on. Just air blowing out of my ducts. We are north of down town Tampa in seminole heights as soon as the sun went down the house starting getting freezing cold. The kids have to shower and clean up and my wife wouldn't let it happen until our heater was working. When your ac goes out in June on a hot humid day in Florida, you just want quick relief!  So not knowing anything about ac companies, I checked on yelp and Ken Barrett ac repair popped up. 

They came out a few hours after my initial call and had me up and running within 15 minutes!  The two techs that came out explained to me how the capacitor was broken and prevented the fan from working.  I also had them replace a worn connector as they showed me how it would be giving me trouble in the very near future. No high pressure as they gave me the option of replacing now. 

Would call them again with any ac or heating needs!
